This is where the drama begins...
With over two decades of experience as a senior secondary drama teacher and a proven track record of creating engaging and educational play scripts and learning experiences, I am excited to make a whole lot of new drama with students, teachers and theatre groups who are ready to innovate!

I offer a range of services catered specifically to schools and theatre companies; I have a catalogue of play scripts that I am frequently adding to for performance groups to purchase and produce, I offer practical workshops in theatre making in a breadth of genres and styles, and as a playwright I can be commissioned to develop new plays and devised works with your group.

For established companies and festivals, I can work with your company as a learning designer to produce learning resources to support student engagement, understanding and response to your creative works, and help teachers to align learning activities with performance standards and frameworks including ACARA, SACE and IB.

Having worked extensively with the SACE Board of South Australia as a marker, moderator and lead practitioner over 17 years, as well as an Education Consultant in the SACE Board's Arts and Pathways Faculty, I brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise not just in Drama but across the Arts and interdisciplinary learning areas.

My experience writing plays for and with secondary school students and showcasing these productions in reputable events like the Adelaide Fringe Festival demonstrate my broader thinking about the nature and purpose of Arts education - it exemplifies my priorities to nurture young people not just as students of Drama but as authentic practitioners who contribute to industry and culture through the development of their works. Working as 'the playwright in the room' with young people is humbling and empowering; to be the conduit between what young people want to say through art and the audience to whom they wish to say it comes with enormous responsibility and also privilege. It is the highlight of what I do as a creative and as an arts educator.
