Little Fish

Little Fish

$20.00Price

A strange figure - half man, half dolphin - is spotted in the area around the Port River, home to Adelaide's dwindling dolphin population. Hunted, feared and labeled a freak, he hides. A curious girl joins the pursuit - not to hunt him or hurt him, but to try to understand him. In doing so, she unpacks a past that shocks the core of her family and brings the 'Port River Monster' to closure of his own.

Companies are encouraged to produce an awareness raising campaign about care and protection of the dolphins in the area to be shared with audience members via a QR code during the production. Ample opportunities for technology integration and audience engagement.

Written with young people with the support of the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary, 'Little Fish' proves the power of the smallest to create awareness and promote change. Layered in metaphor with a touch of dystopian sci-fi, this is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn about the natural wonderland of Adelaide's Dolphin precinct and the human and industrial impact on the native habitat in a play about faith, belief and the power of the smallest.
