The Goldfish

Simon and Simone's marriage is relentless: it just keeps going. Trapped in a void where time seems to stand still or not exist at all, they struggle to understand or even remember each other.
 
Meanwhile, Perry, an elusive human-goldfish hybrid, continously paces the perimeter of the square that confines Simon and Simone, a metaphor for the goldfish that swims in the bowl and the insanity that comes from forgetting, remembering, seeing everything as though for the first time, and repeating the same things over and over while expecting different results.
 
Simon and Simone must learn to get over the small things that keep them in a continuous loop of miscommunication in their mundane existence. Can they break the cycle and look to a more hopeful and fulfilling happy-ever-after?
 
An absurd comedy about the things that couples fight about, short term memory, toothpaste and toilet paper with elements of Beckett, Ionesco and Ayckbourne.
